Volunteers
If you would like to make a difference to cancer patients lives you can become a volunteer for LILAC.
Volunteers are needed to:
Man the house
LILAC house is open from 10.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday. Volunteers provide cancer patients and their families with information and support. Use your skills to support these people in LILAC house for a few hours.
Help with fundraising
LILAC relies on donations and fundraising events. Use your skills to help organise fundraising events such as quizzes, balls, sports tournaments, plays etc.
Offer practical help
to patients undergoing treatment eg light housework, ironing, laundry and so on. Volunteers may also transport patients to and from hospital appointments.
Volunteers gain a lot of experience and satisfaction from their role.
